I log in once every few days, and every time I do there’s something really stupid on my dash. Which is dumb since I unfollowed so many of you like, a LONG time ago. So here’s a story for all of you.

Once upon a time, a certain rper ran a One Piece group. (Spoiler that person is me)

This was over a year ago. And things were all swell and neat and you know by golly we had a pretty good time. There were MAYBE 10 of us tops. In those times, things were peaceful and I loved the world.

So half a year rolls on by and I decide, “You know what, I’m gonna log onto Marco! I. Am. Gonna. Do it.” and so I did.

And I realized, hey you know what this is alright. There are a lot of RPers around, and it’s time to make some new friends. And I felt pretty good about the whole thing. BUT THE GOOD OVERED QUICKLY (spoiler number two: the bad grammar was intentional right there.) And then I realized, wow. A lot of these people are pretty young. If they’re not, they sure act like it.

There was drama around every corner, and hardly a single RPer understood the idea behind what makes One Piece so great?? It was never about MAKING UR OTP HAPPEN!!1! or JUST SEXIN ANYTHING YOU CAN. It’s about friends. Friends who make up your family, and following your dream. So it’s pretty disappointing when there’s just IC drama about who to fuck, or OOC drama over a roleplayed relationship not going your way.

So every time I log in, I basically make a 180 and ollie the fuck out of this bitch.

If you want people to rp with you, maybe you should stay in character. Maybe you shouldn’t sit around and wait for people to come to you! Get out there and message some people! Show people that you’re friendly, and that you’re looking for more than just some otp RPs and smut. (If you are looking for just that, let’s be honest. You don’t deserve the attention.)

I believe in you kids. You can do it.

Ace grinned and nodded, putting his jeep in park and shutting it off, opting to leave it tipped haphazardly up on the curb for now as he hopped out and happily followed Marco into the house.

“Yeaaah, yeah, take your tiiime~” he chirped, and while the other man left to get dressed, Ace sidled his way into Marco’s kitchen where there was one huge, stainless steel, sexy-looking fridge that he just had to raid.

And sure enough, when he opened that door? Heaven. Surely Marco wouldn’t mind if he just took a little of…..everything….

“Alright, thanks!” Marco pulled off his sweatpants, tossing them at a mountain of dirty laundry that had likely been growing slowly larger over the last month and a half. It wasn’t until halfway through pulling his ~~questionably~~ clean pair of pants on that he noticed how… disturbingly quiet it was in the house. Especially for a house that Ace was present in.

“…Ace?” he called out, though he didn’t really expect a response. Marco walked over to his bedroom door, setting a hand on the frame and looking out into the hallway. “Oi, Ace! What are you doing, yoi? You’re not up to something stupid, are you?”

Unfortunately for…..both of them, Ace didn’t quite hear exactly what Marco said from his position buried deep inside the fridge, devouring everything in sight. He did hear the muffled voice though so he yanked his head out long enough to yell back, “Ya look gorgeous, man, don’t worry about it!”, before diving right back in.

Finally, he emerged with an armful of god knew what. Sausage, ketchup, probably some macaroni and cheese, anything he could find and deem edible. He settled himself down at the counter, quite satisfied with his expedition and dug in, all the while deciding it’d be fun to root through Marco’s mail while he was at it. Maybe Pops had sent him something interesting!

Luckily, Ace had a feeling a broken window was just what it would take to get Marco out of bed so he’d driven around the block, coming back around to Marco’s house just in time to see that door nearly fly off its hinges.

He cackled to himself and screeched to a halt half-on, half-off the sidewalk, two tires bumped up on the curb and he waved jovially. “Oh Marco! You’re up! Come on, get presentable! I wanna take you to this new place I heard about! They’ve got free pizzaaaa!”

Wait… Marco quickly turned to look at his broken window before looking back at Ace. Wasn’t he already out here? Honking that god damned horn non stop? Why was he just now… Alright, Marco hadn’t thought the kid was clever enough to drive off after breaking his window. Obviously this meant he was getting good at his game. Great.

He dragged his hand down his face, letting out an exasperated sigh. “Alright, fine. Just park your damn car and come inside, yoi. But after that you better drive me to the nearest… wherever the hell sells windows, yoi! Got it!?” he turned, heading back into his bedroom to pull out some half-assed outfit to change into for the day. It seemed like a waste of time to put any effort into looking nice.

Curse that Marco. Ace sat outside for almost thirty minutes honking the horn and screeching at Marco’s window for him to get up. Eventually he threw a rock at his window. The window broke. Shit. Ace felt pretty bad about that so he quickly drove away before any bodily harm could come to him.

Laying face down against his pillow, Marco reached down and grabbed the covers to yank them over his head. “God damn it, Ace…” he mumbled into his pillow, doing his best to ignore the ridiculous amount of noise. Well, that is until that brat broke the window.

He just about flew out of the bed when he heard the glass break, hurrying over to look at the damage. “ACE, YOU-!!” he growled, slipping on his ~~bird~~ slippers and hurrying to the front door and flinging the door open. “ARE YOU INSANE, YOI!?”
